Canadians Celebrate Father’s Day and the Men They Love

Families across Canada will come together this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16th, to celebrate the men they love at Prostate Cancer Canada’s Safeway Father’s Day Walk/Run. This annual event sponsored by Canada Safeway will see residents in 15 cities across the country lace up their running shoes to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer.

The Dark Side/PCCN Calgary Top Fuel Dragster will be on hand at the Starting Line, so Dad’s and their families will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with one of the fastest accelerating vehicles on the planet.
Fun Fact: A Top Fuel Dragster accelerates from a standstill to 100 miles per hour in as little as 0.7 seconds.
That’s less than one fifth the time required by a production Porsche 911 Turbo to reach 60 miles per hour (97 km/h) and can exceed 280 miles per hour (450 km/h) in just 660 feet (200 m). This acceleration subjects the driver to an average force of about 4.0 G over the duration of the race.
