2012 Roll Cage Padding Requirements

Changes to Competition/Safety Rules for 2012
Included are the SFI Specs for Roll Cage Padding and Hans Devices

SFI NHRA IHRA Re-Cert
3.3

Neck Restraint required on all cars running 9.99 and quicker.
Required on ALL open body cars.
Can be replaced with 38.1 restraint device.

38.1

HANS, R3, Hybrid, Pro Rage
Required on any vehicle running 200 mph+ or 7.49 seconds or quicker
AND in the following classes:
Gas Dragsters, A/D to I/D, Econo
Dragsters, A/ED to D/ED, Nostalgia Dragsters, Nostalgia Funny Cars, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster most Altered and Street Raodsters, Advanced ET, A/Econo Altered, TAD, TA/FC,TF, TF/FC,

 T/F, TF/FC, TAD, TAFC
PN/FC, P/FD, T/S, T/D		 5 years
45.1 Roll Cage Padding required on all cars going faster than 9.99 (NHRA) S/S and faster
45.2 Cert not required –
use accepted manufactures list
Required on PS, T/AD, TA/FC, T/F, and TF/FC		 Cert not required –
use accepted manufactures list
Required on PFD, TA/FC, T/F, and TF/FC
Cast in place seat PM, PS, TF, TF/FC, T/AD/ TA/FC
Flame Retardant Seat Cover All supercharged or turbocharged cars in Advanced E.T., comp, altered and Street Roadster, PS, TS, TD, PM, TF, TF/FC, T/AD/ TA/FC TF (if metallic seat is used), PFD, PN/FC, TA/FC, TF/FC
