A relatively new phenomenon in Western Canada is Airport Racing. Thunder in the Valley will be hosted Sept 4-6 2015 at the Drayton Valley Municipal Airport and represents the very epitome of Airport Racing: 3 days of intense drag racing action,
10,000+ spectators, and the beer gardens open at 2pm.
