Raised Cam Location:
Cam centerline has been raised .250″ in Hemi/440 iron and aluminum blocks.
This allows for more clearance between the camshaft and the side of the connecting rods (especially aluminum rods) and to use larger diameter camshafts (stiffer – improved timing/strength)
