| August 30&31 was Drayton Valley’s 10th Annual “Thunder in the Valley” and Dark Side Racing provided the 8,000+ spectators on hand with thunder, smoke and the glorious smell of NITRO! Thunder in the Valley truly is a top notch event organized by an incredible group of dedicated volunteers. Each day of drag racing was capped off with an awe-inspiring fireworks display that rivaled any Canada Day Celebration that we’ve ever seen. On Saturday night the Dark Side Racing team was invited to attend a pot luck dinner being hosted by Rocky Mountain Nostalgia Alcohol Funny Cars. Food and more food was the name of the game as there was a seemingly endless supply of top notch nosh. *I have to give a special shout out to Shelly Steckler for your delicious Perogies! | Sept 21 was all about Calgary Harley-Davidson and the test riding their 2015 models. The Calgary Harley-Davidson parking lot was buzzing with activity because everyone wanted to test ride the 2015 “Test our Metal” Fleet! And when they got back from their test rides, they were treated to Dark Side Racing and our unique brand of entertainment: NITRO! Q107 and the legendary Jeff Woods (Creator and Host of The Legends of Classic Rock) were on location and Jeff assumed the “seat of honor” when we fired up the 8,000+ horse power Dark Side Racing Top Fuel Dragster. | On Sept 30 we will be wrapping up our 2014 season fundraiser for PCCN Calgary and drawing the winning ticket for the gorgeous Harley Davidson leather riding that was generously donated by Calgary Harley-Davidson.
